Riverview Restaurant and Marina
Cumberland River
Client: Walt and Lori Randolph, owners
Project: New 200 seat restaurant plus a private dining room, exterior dining area, and adjacent pier and boat dock. The original building was destroyed by flood in May 2010.
Size: 5,000 s.f. plus 3,400 s.f. of covered, exterior dining areas
Budget: $500,000
The Challenge:

To honor the heritage and ambiance of the restaurant, an iconic community landmark destroyed by the May 2010 flood in the Cumberland River watershed in Middle Tennessee. The new facility design takes full advantage of the sweeping views of the river offered by the site. It also provides the owners with operational flexibility so guests can be served in several separate venues.

Because of recent flood and the restaurant’s location on the river, the project received very close review during the permit process by the Army Corps of Engineers and local authorities.

Manous Design provided comprehensive architectural and structural and civil engineering services plus interior, landscape and lighting design. Manous Design managed all mechanical, electrical, plumbing engineering services.
