Design a facility whose interior provides optimal functional space for fire and EMT services and equipment, while offering comfort and privacy to the women and men who staff the facility 24 hours a day, working 24 hour shifts. Located adjacent to a residential community, the exterior appearance of the station needed to be compatible with surrounding structures and acceptable to area residents.
