| The Challenge: |
Built in 1907, the Historic Arcade is one of only three surviving examples of this building type in the State of Tennessee. The Arcade is the forerunner of today's modern shopping mall. The exterior will be given a face lift with an eye toward preserving the glazes brick and limestone facade, architectural lighting and appropriately scaled signage. The interiors were stripped of the 50's interiors and left exposed to enhance the historic nature of the structure. |
